And you thought you had a rough Monday? Imagine starting off the week destroying 1 of only 7 Koenigsegg One:1 hyper cars! The Swedish beast was involved in its second incident at the Nurburgring yesterday.

The 1,341bhp Koenigsegg One:1 is the latest in a long line of bonkers hyper cars to tackle the fabled Nordschleife and steal the scorching 6:57 lap record held by the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Auto Evolution were busy enjoying their holiday when they witnessed the accident and thankfully saw the driver – Robert Serwanksi emerge from the wreck safe. It is reported that the driver had too much speed coming out of Foxhole and broke heavily (see the sever skidmarks) heading into the Adenauer Forst entry.

You know it is a pretty savage crash at the ‘Ring when you can hit the guardrail and completely clear the track side protected area!  To add insult to injury the Egg then caught fire.

Koenisgsegg has released a statement following the incident and we certainly wouldn’t want to be in their PR department with all the stories flying around the web and social media.

Wonder if we can get our hands on this for breaking… Oh wait, they are rebuilding it. Holy Christ!
